Read MoreBlack Sunday is heavily atmospheric ride through misty graveyards and gothic mansions. It is about Princess Asa (played by Barbara Steele) who is sentenced to death for witchcraft. This is the opening scene and probably the best for it's shock value. Two centuries later she rises back from the dead and comes to take revenge on a particular family. The atmosphere is dense and foreboding and there are some good performances, especially that of Barbara Steele. Although I appreciate it for the very good movie it is, I didn't believe it delivered on scares. It had some scares but not enough to really shock you.
