... the writing/show has drifted from thought-provoking night-time drama to forgetful night-time soap opera...much like Sean's television show "Hearts and Scalpels". Both McNamara and Troy seem to have lost a significant amount of IQ points during their flight from Miami to L.A. Some of their choices during this fifth season seem a bit more characteristic of club-carrying cavemen than successful, sophisticated and sober surgeons. Perhaps the L.A. smog has fogged their thinking. Rather than engaging the viewer through character development, the writers have seemingly engaged in character assassination. Perhaps the writing now reflects a purposeful, over-editorialization about the L.A. lifestyle and "values" through the "shallowization" of the characters, or that the original writers went on strike, or a combination of some or all of the aforementioned--or not mentioned: nevertheless, the show still manages to entertain...for now.

It showed both Docs aging..I missed more time with Christian on the tube...Portia DeRossi was Stunning and her daughter was evil and Gorgeous...I was NIP/TUCKED OUT after watching all discs. .

2 words: Plastic Fantastic. U will laugh your ass off watching that episode. Once again another great season as Christian and Sean find themselves in L.A. doing the same messed up crap they were pulling in Miami. Christian is the man!!! Look every other reviewer is being to harsh and should not discourage u from renting yet another classic season of Nip/Tuck . Easily one of my top 3 favorite shows. Rent w/ the up most confidence.
