Rescue Me: Season 04 (2007)
Member Rating:
It's another season of challenge and turbulence for Tommy (Denis Leary) and the guys. This season, an arson investigation following the beach house fire targets Tommy; Janet (Andrea Roth) worries that her new baby doesn't like her; Tommy's daughter Colleen (Natalie Distler) runs away from home; and a not-guilty verdict is returned in Uncle Teddy's (Lenny Clarke) manslaughter trial. Also during Season 4 (2007), a beloved character commits suicide, and the crew from 62 Truck is savaged in the press for not being able to save seven children from dying in a tragic fire. Along with the full 13-episode Season 4 run, this set also includes six featurettes, 22 deleted scenes, a gag reel, and more.

My groin nearly fell to the floor while watching this season. My gut was stretched to max with a probable hernia that I'm nursing right now. Man how can I get rid of this thing without going to the doctor? Maybe Season 5 will just kill me anyway. I'm going to get all liquored up so I can watch the chick. If anyone sees my old lady, tell her to call. I have her check.

My teenage sons, husband and I have followed this series on DVD and we all agree it is one we can all relate to in some way. There are some awkward moments but we can laugh at them together and somehow it makes us closer. The writing is amazing...we keep worrying it will drop off but it never disappoints. This season they have started to develop some of the other characters (Mikey and Franko) more emotionally while sill keeping it fresh, funny and often over the top...we love sheila!!! Wouldn't be worth a second with out Dennis Leary's writing and character-he is the show. It is the perfect vehicle to showcase the range of his talent. But killing off Dean Winter was a drag for me...I will suffer through the pain and brutatlity of Oz over and over just to see him. The loss of his casual, cocky arrogance with a heart (and a beatiful face and body) is felt this season of Rescue Me. Still haven't seen an episode we didn't enjoy. Thanx!
