Jody Foster has to overcome a lot of obsticles to get to the island. And then there were the animals. This movie will take you away from all the hassels of your lives. For about 2 hrs you will live on a deserted island with the hottest man alive, an adorable little girl, and a writer of adventure books. This movie was really good. It was a little too whimsical for me, but that shouldn't be a problem for the younger viewers. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

There are a lot of parts that drag on. The previews make the movie seem upbeat and fun, but in reality it has many sad/depressing scenes. Also, Jodie Foster and Abigail Breslin do not even meet until the very end. Wait for video so that you can do something around the house during the slow, sad scenes. Do not make the mistake of taking a youngster to this movie, a lot of the time is spent watching the characters email back and forth and talking with themselves. Thank goodness I took my son to the drive-ins instead of the indoor movie theaters. At least in the car he could pull out his hot wheels and play. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
