My biggest complaint was that it was too short, ... Read More The second season is certainly not as well layered as the first and the plot development slowed down a bit. But, all in all, it was still enjoyable. My biggest complaint was that it was too short, obviously a side effect of the writers strike. I thought that the second season took a sharp turn towards the overt dark side with gabriel and maya, a possible avenue into the third season, "villans." This was a bit of a departure from the complexity of the writing in the first season where even the "evil" characters kept you guessing what their true intentions were. Ok this season has gotten a lot better as the episodes roll on! After about the 5th episode it really starts to pick up again like it did in the first season but the only problem is that there are only 11 episodes due to the writers strike and it sucks. The story arc with Claire and her high school boyfriend was more like Knots Landing than a solid sci fi drama that viewers expected after Season One. I was so excited when Season 2 premiered, and then...nothing. I kept waiting for the excitement level to spike but it never did. I thought the character development this season REALLY lagged. Also, the characters seemed too spread out especially since the season finale was so explosive (pun intended). Even with the horrible slump of Season 2, I gave it 3 stars because if you are interested in Season 3, then you will need watch Season 2 to play catch up. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More Heroes season 2 was pretty awful. Wether you blame the impending writers strike, terribly inconsistant air times, or just a creative direction that is completely unforgiveable - There was very little to keep you interested. The story really didn't start where season 1 left off. They broke everyone up again as if they needed to tell the exact same story over again in season 2. It made for a very slow boring first half of the season. We had seen it all. Beyond that, Hiro spent too much time in the past and Sylar (their best character) had no powers or purpose. I was sent Disc 1 and Disc 2 and Lastly Disc 2 I have not received Disc 3 nor Disc 4, I know that mistakes happen so I just wanted to advised Blockbuster so that I might receive Disc 3 before I receive Disc 4. Season 1 was so good. Practically everyone who died, came back to life, plot was dumb, series was a total snooze. I wish they had not resurrected most of the old cast. this show was different, because they were willing to introduce new characters, and weren't afraid to take chances with the plot line.
