The parents, however, rate it 2 Stars and couldn't wait for it to end. Eighty-nine minutes felt like 150. Jenny McCarthy plays Mary Claus and has no idea how to act like the daughter of an ancient saint. Mary is a powerhouse in business but displays little wisdom of the ages. The proof comes when she chooses a shallow backstabbing louse for a boyfriend. We can see her mistake but she can't. McCarthy is unappealing and has an annoying habit of overacting with her eyes. BTW: Red makes blondes look cheap! Mrs. Claus acts like an air-headed twit. Too bad. Opportunity lost! At least George Wendt lends Father Christmas the conventional amount of wisdom of a normal old man. The elven workshop scenes are mostly silly and contrived but I did get a kick out of the Kung-ELF-Fu. Like an acorn, this story has potential but instead of taking care and growing a great oak that will stand the test of time, they gave us a sapling! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful Movie is ok, it is a very simple plot: girl is sucessful business woman dating a business man, but really has a secret love, and a big secret, she is Santa's daughter. She return home for a visit runs into old love, and new Boy Friend gets jealous and wants to expose the whole thing. I won ttell you the end. Movie had very little comical parts, and at best is a movie to grab if you want a christmas movie and con;t get a good one. This is a las draw on my listWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Worst of all was the acting. Not ... Read More First of all, the writer of this script should find another occupation. Very weak dialogue. The directing was horrible. Reminded me of a grade-school play. Worst of all was the acting. Not knowing Jenny McCarthy, personally and never having seen her in anything else, I would hope that she never set foot on a stage or berfore a camera, ever again. My wife and I lasted 51/2 minutes and then had to stop watching for fear of vomiting. Such a waste of time, when there are such great classics out there. Merry Christmas!!!! Read More This movie wasn't bad, after all it is a Christmas movie and they tend to be enjoyable enough however that being said it wasn't very good either. You never really care about any of the characters (not even the dopey elves) Santa's a broken down old man, Mary Clause is this hot chick from the city and it just isn't that funny or cute or touching like MOST Christmas films are. Read More Its not a terrible movie, its just that the plot is one those that its HOKEY as crap.I mean lets look at it. Jenny Mccarthy is the daughter of Santa clause and moved away from a hometown boyfriend, only to goto the city and become friends with a city guy who ONLY has dollars signs in his eyes. Not only has this plot been done before, but like I said its far fetched and HOKEY. It is a 1 star movie but I gave it TWO and a half stars because HOT Jenny Mccarthy DOES have some acting skills and tried to pull this one off. And she would have , if she had more to work with. I would like to see her in a more serios role because she has acting skills and did I mention she is a Hotty despite the fake blond hair and b**bs.Take this from someone who has SEEN the film--This IS a FAMILY film!!..there is NO Nudity, there is NO PARTIAL NUDITY-- and there is NO PROFANITY WHATSOVER.. It's not really a family sit down type movie. I expected it to be a little more family oriented, cute little Christmas movie, but it wasn't.
