If you enjoy movie musicals, don't pass this one up. Ethel Merman, Dan Dailey and Donald O'Connor are all wonderful and Marilyn even ain't half bad.

Story line is limited but the songs are great. The costuming is odd -- even though the story is set in the 1920's to the early 1940's, the clothing is really 1954. However, watch this movie for Donald O'Connor's dancing alone. He was a master who made the dance look masculine and graceful at the same time. One dance where Donald O'Connor dances alone equals anything done by Gene Kelly.
