Read More I gave this film 4 stars and can fully recommend it, although there are some very disturbing sceens. It is too bad the producers did not stick to the facts in a film advertised to be true. Read More Another great performance by Washington, Whitaker and Elise. Even the young character, especially the female debater handled their roles with class and dignity. The movie inspires others to strive above adversity and succeed. The special Feature on the real debaters was just a great. To those who think this movie is racism, they need to take off the rose-colored glasses and get a dose of this country's terrible history. one feel great to be an American in those days. a must see!!

If you enjoy reading and listening to good literature go see this film. 2nd this is how it was and still is in our country. Let me ask u this. If u needed to hire an employee and u turned away the most qualified and mature individual simply because he/she was black or hispanic who's the fool? Some very rough scenes in this film but truthful and it's just horrible how we've treated "citizens" of our country. AND some of those "citizens" fought and died in our wars.
