The television series (not Showtime) was much more enjoyable as there was none of the unnecessary foul language like the dvd has, so I give it a 3 1/2 instead of 5. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Rented first season and I was soooo hooked. I'm a fan of the Wire, The Shield, and other of the like and this is totally different, a serial killer with morals who kills ONLY people who deserve it and he's a blood splatter expert for Miami/Dade Police Dept. You know half the cops out there are screwed up, but this guys mind is twisted like a pretzel. A MUST SEE!!!!! Rent Season One first. Hope Season 3 doesn't move to regular network TV like it's supposed to, I heard samples of script changes and it was bad. They played original and edited for ABC,CBS,NBC? whatever one, on NPR & it was bad, keep Dexter dirty, it will not translate with TV editing. GREAT SHOW, GREAT IDEA!!! HIGHLY REC. Kenny W.
