Read More I rented Season 1 because I was finished watching all of my other shows (Bones, SVU, CSI, etc.) I needed something new to watch. I had no idea what I would be getting into. This show is so addicting I watched all of Season 1 in three days. I can't wait to get Season 2 in the mail and see where it takes off from where it left me on the edge of my seat. Plus, Dexter isn't so bad on the eyes either! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More The first time I watched this show, I was repulsed. However, the storyline of Dexter being a small boy found in his own Mother's blood after she was murdered because she was giving info to the cops becomes really uniquely interesting as his adopted Dad (the cop who the mom was giving info to) teaches him to curb his blood thirsty habit as he grows up to eliminating all the bad guys that the system lets go and how not to get caught. Dexter works as a blood spatter specialist for the police and his step sister works as a cop. It becomes adictive to watch as you want to see how he can taint the evidence so they won't discover who he is. The brother serial killer was a great twist! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More I definitly love this show and LMAO at some of the great writing. Sometimes the story gets a little bogged down in too much whining/love life drama but the twists and turns and most of the casting are just great. I love Michael Hall -- he is too hot! I also love the sister -- she is hilarious, cute and so "real." Also get a big kick out of Masuka (funny as heck), and Doakes, etc., Some very good writing!!!!! Hated Lila from the second she opened her mouth. ;)
Was dissapointed in the ending. I think they should have ended at the postcard, having Dexter come out odf the shadows in Paris and kill Lila after all of his close calls before was just too unrealistic...way too unrealistic. But I still am hooked. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Spends far too much time telling uninteresting stories about the uninteresting people around Dexter, and even Dexter himself gets increasingly involved in some dismayingly uninspired soap-opera-type plotlines with only a few scenes an episode to even remind you that Dexter is a serial killer at all, which is what makes this show unique. Thankfully, this tedium almost totally disapears after episode eight, but four good episodes out of twelve is a bit disappointing. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
