The characters are intriguing. Dexter is likeable as the most unique sociopathic killer ever. Being a psych major, I am intrigued by the sociopath's mind, but this show takes that further and really makes it interesting. Dexter is a good samaritan and a serial killer all in one. I didn' t think it was nearly as gory as some had said ... Read More I really love the show. How creative that a show about a serial killer can get you rooting for a really bad guy! It is hard to stop watching. I didn' t think it was nearly as gory as some had said (especially since I am not a fan of gory movies at all!) It was only slightly worse than you can see on shows like CSI. My only issue is the constant cursing. At times it actually seemed like the actors forced a dropping of the f bomb into the conversation just to say it for the 50th time. Read More i have not made any full decision on this show yet. i have been through the hole first season so it has kept my attention yet i would not list it as a top rated show. its hard to like a sort of hero that is a cereal killer. and his personality is stiff and flat. i do not beleave this searies will maintain a long life as it lacks something. but its not the worst show i've seen, though the first i would bump from the dvr if i found another decent show playing at the same time.
