I'm a big fan of Jet Li and Jackie Chan (who isn't?).I found it interesting how they never mentioned anything about the little American kid in the advertisements until after it's original theatrical run. The fight scenes being choreographed by Yuen Woo-ping (same guy responsible for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) are of course AMAZING. However, the stories, characters, and visual style are all westernized. Watching this movie is like learning Chinese Philosophy from an American who may have studied tons of Chinese history/philosophy but never grew up in China and it's culture. It's a shame that it took this long for Jet Li and Jackie Chan to finally be in a movie together..and this one was it. Anyway it's a good popcorn flick, it's great to see the two paired together. I could care less about the little American boy "hero" in the movie who is almost like the same character that Stifler played in Bulletproof Monk...It's kind of hard for me to recommend this movie. ~G

This was one of the worst movies I have seen. Poor acting and an even worse storyline

A great kung fu movie with modern effects. One of Jackie Chan's and Jet Li's best movies!

You FINALLY get Jackie Chan and Jet Li together and this is what you come up with?!? If I had wanted to watch The Neverending Story I would have rented that. The story was completely stupid. And the boy was annoying as hell. Some of the fight scenes were pretty good. And the 2 Chinese girls are SMOKIN' hot!!!! But that's about the only good thing about this movie. Don't bother with this and go rent one of Jackie or Jet's older Hong Kong movies.

It was a good movie, typical Jackie Chan style. If you like his other movies you will like this.

This movie was so bad it's laughable! Good movies draw the viewer into the world you're watching and you're hardly aware of your surroundings. I constantly lost interest as the movie was playing. Pros: The action sequences WERE pretty cool. Also, it was so bad it was funny, but whether or not that's a positive is debatable. Cons: There were several instances during the movie when things happened that weren't explained. For example, at one point they were walking - then suddenly a little later they had horses without any explanation. The script was poorly written. There were a few parts where there was a PAINFULLY obvious use of green/blue screen. The characters were NOT consistently developed throughout the movie. The movie was incredibly predictable in the worst way - from beginning to end. The monkey man legendary here was VERY annoying. Go ahead and rent it anyway - but don't say I didn't warn you!
