Read More I usually don't bother to write reviews, but I just had to for this movie, which has to be among the worst I've seen in my life. There was nothing with the kung fu choreography or any of the action sequences, all beautifully done, but the plot was awful. The dialogue was barely understandable. Sometimes it was hard for me to tell if the characters were speaking in Chinese or English (I speak both). At one point I dozed off b/c the plot was so retarded. My wife kept apologizing for picking it, but it's not her fault - she picked it based on member reviews. So I'm doing my part now to help people avoid this train wreck of a movie. If you like kung fu flicks w/ great choreography, then I'd suggest maybe movies like Crouching Tiger or House of Flying Daggers - not this movie, no way! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? The kids loved it. I will watch anything with Jackie Chand and Jet li, and it was great to see them in a fight scene together. Was it the best I have seen? No, but it was good. I liked the actor who played the teen. he was in Sky High, so those who have kids and have seen their movies ( over and over) will recognize him. There were some words in there that weren't appropriate for young kids, but overall was fairly safe for the family. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More Jackie Chan does an excellent job again of bringing a Chinese legend to life through film with panaromic, stunning scenery and a chemistry between him and Jet Li I found surprising considering both of their huge martial arts talent.
The only criticism I have is the incessant mystical flying and leaping that has a suspicious flavor of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon filmology -- and that personally distracts me rather than move an otherwise great story to its conclusion.
