Read More you've got to be kidding me! the low ratings make no sense. this movie is definitely not for the superficialist. great directing, and excellent DP. there are a couple of scenes that I think were a little gratuitous. overall i think this movie is excellent! the individual stories are about as antithetical as you can get, yet they eventually intersect one another. it's genius! it should make one wonder how their lives affect all other lives. Forest Whitakers' butterfly metaphor is so profound. kudos to Sarah Michelle Gellars', Andy Garcias', and Kevin Bacons', great performance! Brendan Fraser is superb! Maybe this isn't how people really behave, but I think it's how we wish that they would, (when it comes to doing the right thing). I think that this movie expresses many peoples hopes and dreams and struggles in a very believable way. Michelle summarizes it with what really matters. Read More This movie has substance, along with nice acting, an entertaining plot, and an uplifting takeaway. Also, I'm not a fan of Brendan Frazier's movies but unlike most of his movies, it was refreshing to see him in a "dark" role which I think he did a terrific job with. I don't know why this movie got such a low rating. Perhaps not for everybody - this is definitely a film you have to think about while watching. But it moves quickly - and the way the characters intersect both accident and by design is well designed.
If you only watch movies that have things that blow up (now that I think of it, LOL, there is a bit of that too) or see lots of blood and gore - or naked butts - this is NOT going to make your short list.

Read More first off i have to say u seen the type of directing and story telling that this movie portrays. i thought this movie was very well told and directed on how the characters all come together having nothing in common. all exept one thing the only flaw to this movie is the timeline kinda thru me off but i have to watch it again . for first time time thru its good defitnely a rental .its worth seeing at least once for the fact the brendan fraser isnt playing some goofy charicter in some kinda childlike way. dont get me wrong hes gd as those but seeing him this way was different. i hope he keeps doing roles like this one overal at least check it for that fact . its not the air i breathe but a breath of fresh air..............ALL PRECISE Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? I can't believe the likes of Forest Whitaker, Andy Garcia and Kevin
Bacon would waste their talent on such a hodgepodge of a story!
