Read MoreI have never written a review before but I couldn't pass up the chance to recommend this movie to those who appreciate a powerful drama produced by means of subtlety, finesse, and superb acting rather than by senseless violence, shootings, and mayhem. If you like action packed movies, this movie is not for you. If you like straight from the hip type of movie without all the bangs and whistles, you'll love this one. And one more thing: Tom Selleck's acting has come a long way since his easy going Magnum P.I. days and has evolved into a truly gripping and believable performance as Jesse Stone, a tough, disgraced ex-L.A. cop who has recently been divorced and problems with alcohol and yet somehow still manages to retain the heart of a kind lonely lion who has found a place in the jungle he can finally call home and maybe save others from their own pain and despair. 5 stars. Tom Selleck is good in the role as Jesse Stone. I have seen all 3 of the Jesse Stone movies. They were all good, but I would say the other 2 were better than this one. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Even though this was the 3rd one made in the series - it should be 1st one seen. This is the one where he was hired as the sheriff, The other 2 are better overall - but this was a good one to watch, WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I'm not sure how he is greaving for his wife since he talks to her on the phone, but this is a good solid movie anyway. I, too, recommend you watch this one first. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

One things for sure ... There is only 1 Tom Selleck. Movie was one of the best movies I ever saw. After seeing this one I picked up Death in Paradise, and Sea Change, which are also incredible.
