To help other considering this movie to rent, here is the order of DVD titles to help with the storyline which continues throughout the Jessie Stone telefilms. 1) Night Passage 2) Stone Cold 3) Death in Paradise This was great storyelling and be as true as possible to the book without diminishing Robert Parker's writings or characters. Having watched Tom Selleck as Magnum P.I. in the 1980s, this role as Jesse Stone is truly magnificent to watch after having read the Jesse Stone series.

He is the perfect type of sherrif you want if there is trouble. He knows his strenghs and weakness. But, still keep going til the job is done. I have enjoyed all of his Jesse Stone movies.

Tom Sellecks performance is astounding. This Jesse Stone series hes doing is incredible. Picked it up mainly because I know hes a great actor and is a NRA board member. Hes a incredible actor... brings you right into the character. You see the pain in Jesse Stone... due to his great acting. Recommend this to everyone I know. Thanks Tom Selleck. PV1 Jean M. If you are the type of guy that enjoys action movies such as Bad Boys II you will be disappointed with this one. This movie is more inclined to mystery and investigation than thrill and action. The story is OK but somewhat boring, if your girlfriend doesn’t care much for intense action movies, probably this would be a good pick to watch with her.
