It was the most heavy-handed, unfunny, "look-at-how-funny-all-these-Vegas-characters-are", stereotyping, piece of crap I've ever seen. People who don't live in Vegas and don't play poker and saw this movie....believe NOTHING that you witnessed within this "film". Complete waste of time. I'm a huge fan of The Office, and I thought this movie drew a lot of comparisons. It was sorta filmed as a documentary style, and a lot of the humor was based on all the quirky and crazy personalities of the characters, and the acting was great. Read More The only thing "Grand" about this movie is how terrible it is. Seriously, if it entered the World's Worst Movie League tournament, it would be a contender for chip leader. I'm not sure if Zak Penn got the memo, but parody movies are supposed to be funny rather than just sucking outright. But what did I expect, afterall, it did have Woody Harrelson in it. Not that inventive or laugh out loud funny, but enjoyable nonetheless. Woody Harrelson and Chris Parnell are solid and Phil Gordon had probably the best cameo as the tournament commentator. If you like poker you will not like this movie. Like most movies about poker its unrealistic. Obviously this movie is supposed to be a parody about poker, but its not funny. LOL the funny thing is the chips they play with are those goofy colored fake polyester chips you can buy off the internet for like 100 buck for a thousand. Its not a good movie its not funny even with a lot of cameos from good actors or good poker players.
