The stars were for the acting and only the acting. If it was on the story you could subtract 2 stars. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I liked this movie. Two former couples find themselves thrown back together years later after their tragic breakups. The problems that initially broke them up are no longer a hindrance. Each has grown and matured. I really liked this love story. It was comical, romantic and it wasn't predictable. It was fresh. I recommend it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More this movie took me about a week to watch, maybe because it wasn't that engaging. it is alright, as ed burns movies go. a bit slow paced with characters that you don't quite care that much about. don't know if this is an indie type movie trying to be big, or a big movie trying to be somewhat indie. long music segments seemed to fill time. don't take a week to watch this and waste your time like me. Read More I typically dislike Ed Burns but found that as a director he makes a better actor. Initially, the film started out slow but I was drawn to the characters and slowly found myself seriously invested in what happens to them. Debra Messing and Ed Burns had great chemistry as well as Selma Blair and Patrick Wilson. All the actors did a beautiful job.
Agree with several of the other reviews that this is definitely a chicks only chick flick. It's much more of a romantic drama with lots of angst, gorgeous clothes and a lovely New York skyline. Perfect rainy day Saturday afternoon movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
