This is by FAR the bloodiest and gore filled Rambo in the series. It pulls zero punches and is not for the squeamish. It's not the action-adventure style violence that you may expect from the Rambo series either. This Rambo's violence is the disturbing, brutal, and unsettling kind. Take away that violence and it's a very color-by-numbers rescue/chase film. It's good to see Rambo on the screen again, it has some very good "rotten to the core" bad guys, and by all accounts Stallone looks like he's still in excellent shape, just don't go in expecting your father's Rambo movie. The movie was to the point without adding a big storyline that would have gotten in the way. He stayed too to his character, silent but deadly. And I also agree, he looks GREAT @ 65.

Read More This movie is just a good old-fashioned shoot 'em up (with bullets & arrows) reminiscent of the old Schwarzenegger and Stallone movies. Bodies are dropping left and right or being shred to pieces by massive machine guns. It gets the adrenaline pumping. I only wish the movie lasted a bit longer. I wanted more! Sly still looks good, he did a good job in the role, but it was very bloody and very graphic, which since that is really what happens when you use these types of weapons is exactly what it must look like. It went by really quickly and most of the other actors were quite forgetable. I rate my movies on the scale of if I would ever watch it again. This one, nope. Once was enough. Read More ok let's be honest the story is dumb, but without a doubt the violence is off the charts. if this was stallone playing some random person and not rambo this movie would've stunk, but it's rambo and that alone makes the movie enjoyable. not as good as the first and probably the second, but if you are a fan then you need to see this one, but if your squemish skip this movie, it's not for the week at heart, i would've liked to see rambo kill some terrorists but this will do. stallone proved again that he is the man.
