It does deliver the goods as a Rambo film, except this time the violence and gore are so over the top that it's comical at times. The storyline starts off well but then falls apart by turning into nonstop action and violence without any real plot or character development. It is a good action packed film for fans of the genre but it definitely lacks substance. However, it's still a good attempt at reviving Rambo and definitely a decent directing job by Stallone. Read MoreOne of the other reviewers said, "I could not believe how much carnage, killing, blood and explosions are in this movie. The special effects are unbelieveable, that I actually thought that real people were being blown up". Ditto, only that is why I chose not to watch past 15 minutes. I had high hopes that this would be an enjoyable movie - but the amount of the above were such a turn off that I began to not even care about the story... wasn't worth slugging through the pile up of dead bodies to find out what happened.
