Acting was below par, and the story line was even worse. I typically enjoy these types of movies (Step-UP and Stomp the Yard) for the dancing and the music. However, this movie delivers none of those things. In place of that good dancing and singing, you have a really pathetic attempt at a horribly made reggaton song, and a girl that can't quite dance. The ending was anticlimatic and the actor playing Javi had an atrocious accent, he sounded mexican instead of Puerto Rican. This movie needed a much better plot and better editing. El Cantante is as bad as this movie , J. Lo needs to stick to what she knows, and producing isn't one of them. This movie is doesn't deserve even one star. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
