The dancing is excellent, the dialogue is crisp, and the plot (Astaire/Rogers movies are wrongly stereotyped as being virtually plotless vehicles for the dancing) is fun and exciting, Astaire is a joy to watch, and Ginger never looked more gorgeous! I found ... Read MoreThis is an important movie in the history of musicals and the dancing is flawless. And, of course, it's Fred and Ginger! The story line is incidental and frankly, sometimes a bit confusing. I found it very helpful to watch the Special Features to see what Peter Bogdonovitch had to say and also to watch the movie a second time with the commentary playing. The musical numbers are more profound than one is used to seeing in a light musical and the dance commentary is very helpful. A must-see. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
