Not your typical Van Damme film, and FOR THAT REASON, I really liked it. a good movie, well acted, plenty of action, i really liked the story line. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

usually JCVD can carry an action movie but this was the exception. He plays a NOLA cop (even though it was obviously shot in Eastern Europe) who has a nasty drug addiction. He ends up in a coma and tries to avenge the people who messed up his life. Like I mentioned, this movie had way too many plotholes which made it hard to watch. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

My wife left the room she was so bored. Only appeals to the really hardcore blood, guts and shootout type viewers. Only good to offset reruns on TV. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I'm so tired of these movies being located somewhere where a guy with a French accent can fit in - why New Orleans? He's already been a Cajun in another (bad) movie... why can't he simply be a guy with an accent ANYWHERE ELSE? The plot was horrible; the acting was horrible; Van Damme - who use to take my breath away - looks like he was suffering from a coke hangover during the entire film. He probably was... DON'T DO DRUGS, KIDS - THIS IS WHAT YOU END UP LOOKING LIKE! Terrible movie... I'd have been able to get over his looks if the acting or plot were better, but nothing held my attention - my husband and son who are AVID Van Damme fans both fell asleep within 15 mins! Having said that, it was a bit disappointing to see no physical action in this film. But it's his life and maybe it hurts spreading your legs for that signature kick in every movie. He is getting older, this movie definitely shows it. As far as the junkie look, that is makeup and he had to be in character! Imagine casting him as a junkie and he looks in better shape than the majority of the US. Also he had 2 knots on his head, one from the coma, but another on top to the right that also caught my eye well before he got shot. All in all it was an ok movie. Too much f-word. Hopefully he finds the audience for his new endeavors, cause all his old fans are still fightin for the old stuff. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
