This is an amazing series and if you can, see it in HD. My husband and I watched the entire series on television and plan on watching all the episodes again. The camera work is phenomenal and it makes you realize that regardless of how large the population has become in recent decades, there is still so much of this planet that is relatively unexplored.

This series makes blue planet look a kids show. Outstanding work done by the BBC. I am enthusastically waiting for blockbuster to pick up the hd dvd and blu-ray collections.

Everyone should be watching this series. The camera work is flawless with no detail overlooked. If this does not motivate you to go green than we are all in trouble. AMAZING!!

I have never been so compelled by a nature program as I have by this one. This is something everyone should see, hopefully on a large screen. I much prefer Attenborough's narration to Weaver's.

The images are spectacular, perhaps the best nature footage ever filmed, and in eye-popping hi-def. Viewed individually, each episode is a masterpiece. As a whole, they can get a little repetitive, as some of the episodes share footage. The narration is at a basic-education level, with statements such as "the earth's seasons are caused by its tilted axis," and "the Himalayas are the world's highest mountains." But that's OK, since getting into too much detail on say, sexual selection in birds of paradise would risk alienating a large portion of viewers, and the point of this series, to show just how wonderful and varied our world is, would be lost.
