Read MoreI have to disagree with most reviewers. Kevin Spacey was amazing as usual, but the rest of this story really fell flat. If this was supposed to be a coming of age story, than it was a sad one. I had no moral issue with the crux of this film, I had no problem with the kid working the system.. I felt that part of the movie was interesting. The problem is that this kid starts out being a good person, and ends up being a bit of a loser. By the end of the movie, he is less introspective, he seems to have entirely lost any semblance of independant or critical thought. He becomes shallow basically, and his friendships become shallow (except for his best friend and his mother, those were the only redeeming relationships in this film). The love story is weak, poorly developed, and cliche. If you thought the ending was good, I don't understand, because in the end he basically just got lucky (no pun intended). Overall, I think this movie just felt empty, and sent a rather bad message. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Well, this movie has its dry spells, but overall it is a must see. The action is intense and leaves you on the edge of your seat. The ending is a head scratcher, but definitely worth checking out. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
