this movie was quite interesting with funny characters and a great story line. It had a little Big Lebowski in this real documentary with regards to the villain.

really good documentary. Nothing like I expected, it really had you rooting for Steve Wiebe to break the record. Also found it interesting that there is a small cabal of nerds that take these classic games so serious. Can you imagine yourself watching a videotape of a guy setting a world record in Donkey Kong like a MMA fight or a football game??? On a poor quality VHS tape no less???? Very entertaining.

It would be virtually impossible to believe some of the scenes weren't staged except no one but God has a sense of humor that wacked out! From good guy Steve Wiebe's effort to breakthrough the million point milestone while his toddler begs for a butt-wiping to egomaniac Billy's sly entrance into a gaming parlor to catch a glimpse of his feared-rival this film is more hilarious than most comedies even aspire to because the reality of some worlds is so very bizarre! I was prepared to like it but the fact that my girlfriend kept doubling over with laughter made King of Kong one of the most memorable films we've ever viewed. The key: multiple cameras in multiple locations. The logistics had to be nightmarish but they produced a dream of a movie.
