Read More Forget everything you thougt you knew about Indiana Jones when you go to see this movie, he's not there. I'm not a huge fanboy of the series, and honestly all I was looking for when I went to see this movie was another Rocky Balboa, something that just gave me a fun ride and sent the series off on a high note. I got the fun ride for about fifteen minutes, then Indy gets into a fridge, survives a nuclear blast (really, a nuclear blast) and the entire flim turned into a nightmare. I came for Indy Jones the jackass towards woman, teacher in the morning, crazy explorer at night. I didn't come to see Indiana Jones the family man, who is apologetic to his ex-girlfirend, falls head over heels in love after a 5 minute re-introduction. The franchise was completely destroyed in the last ten minutes of the movie to top it all off. Don't bother seeing this unless you're an aspiring director/writer trying to get tips on how not to destroy classic franchises. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More OK, I have been a HUGE Jones fan since I was a little kid.... but i have to say I was very disappointed in the newest release. Harrison Ford looked as young as he ever was... give that makeup person a raise! It doesn't take long to figure out that the ending of this movie is going to be on a spaceship. The story was rather weak in my view and I wish I had waited for it to come out on DVD so I could have rented it instead of paying the theater price. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Kind of a shame to go out like this. And what was George Lucas thinking? He might as well have co-starred Jar Jar Binks. Flat script. I saw it in a half filled theater, and not once did anyone laugh, clap or cheer. Rent it if you want to resolve your curiosity, but don't plan on seeing it more than once. Too sad. It's so great to see Harrison Ford back in the khaki, and the period touches Spielberg ... Read More I'm a sucker for Indy so I loved this movie, but the plot (when it shows up) is beyond idiotic. Still, what fun! It's so great to see Harrison Ford back in the khaki, and the period touches Spielberg added were fantastic (my mom and dad were positively gleeful over the malt shop scene). To be perfectly honest, even if the movie had done nothing else right, the mere presence of Karen Allen was enough to earn five stars! If you're going in expecting something on the level of Raiders or Last Crusade, you might as well skip this one. Read More Indiana Jones is my favorite all time movie...i practically grew up watching it....overall, i really didnt expect Crystall Skull to top the past 3, because like most movie comebacks, the originals are always better...it just has that aethetic value to it.... all i can say that it was ok/good tryin to keep traditional aspects of the past 3...the only thing i didnt like was that it showed Lucas's Sci-fi influence in the movie...AT THE END OF THE MOVIE, WTF GEORGE!?
