The story plays out like a series of levels in a video game. LaBeouf's reddish hair looks like they burned it trying to straighten it for his greasy 'teen rebel' character (which he does NOT play convincingly). There is too much tedious dialogue explaining the weak story. There's a seemingly endless, long, blue-screen fight sequence involving an ever-moving battle, villains all racing to reach the same place, a continuous mess of swords, man-eating bugs, and transforming rock temples. Acting was cheesy. Shia LaBeouf won't be able to carry this series forward. He's just not the strong, masculine, lead type. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Very weak story and very few funny "Indy" moments from Harrison. The action ranged from unbelieveable (think monkey scene and atomic bomb) to average with the only really enjoyable action scene being the motorcycle chase. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? 19 years after the last Indiana Jones movies, computers have come a long way and it's much easier for George Lucas to transfer his childish imagination to the big screen.
Much of the special effects in this movie are ridiculous and cheesy. When the audience collectively yells "Ohhh.... come on" at the screen (sword fight scene), I have to wonder if Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford actually watched the movie during production. While the movie as a whole is a good ride, they should be ashamed at the quality of the movie.
George, it's time to retire or let another graphics company do the work. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

1. Lost realism of orginals: Indi survives nuke in frig, alien bones fuse together to make a full creature, Stupid stay in school morality
2. Bad supporting actor, the transform kid has 2 expressions confused and "am I making a movie?"
3. Poor Characaters Double agent, betrays Indi twice but he is still worthy of being saved, Insane guy magically becomes sane just in time to tell us about the loopy plot
4 Fake action Screech swings on jungle vines to catch up with jeep, boat/people survive3 massive water falls, too much Karate,
Theres more but who cares this turd will make millions for them... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

At times it was a little "Six Flags stunt show" cheesey, but I think they are all that way. It has classic Indy moments and even the movie's music score was right on track with the other three. For those who didn't like the alien plot must not know there has always been an alien theory behind the real crystal skulls. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More In parts, this movie made you wish it would hurry up and end and in others leave you wanting more. I loved the 50's theme, it was well done without being overdone. I was pleased that there wasn't much "hidden" political undertones in this movie. I liked all of the characters with the exception of Shia's, whom I hope they weren't trying to foreshadow as the heir apparent to the Indy films with the hat. There was a little bit of everything from daring escapes, gun fights, fisticuffs, and finding the hidden treasure spots. Overall, I think this movie was worth the prive of admission, I do not however think it would hold the interest of the average 7-10 year old. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
