Read More I think I am one of the few individuals that truly likes the majority of the "remakes" that Hollywood is churning out. I love most of the original films that these remakes are based off of, but these new films bring a sense of freshness and modern feel to the finished product. The Prom Night remake is only a remake in name and only. The new story is completely different from the original Jamie Lee Curtis film (which in my opinion was just marginally acceptable as a GOOD horror film). Of course being a PG-13 film, the death scenes are totally off screen or blurred, but that does not take away from the feel of the film. There is a true sense of doom and dread that runs through the film that works. I may be in the minority in my enjoyment of these "remakes" but at least I can accept them for what they are. Movies that want to entertain and thrill. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I guess it entertained me while I was watching, but did find myself saying the acting is B-rated. The only part that made it creepy/startling was when she would always scream. So you never knew if it was the psycho or if it was one of her friends. The guy who played the psycho was awesome, he made the movie I think but a movie can't be carried by only one single person. If you are in a mood just to watch a horror flick that is not too scary, not too bloody, not the greatest acting, with no real suspense than you have hit gold. Just keep in mind that this is more for the younger crowd than it is for the mid-twenties and up crowd. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More It's understandable that one must suspend disbelief when watching a film; especially a horror film. Doing so, unfortunately, takes away from the power of a horror film. This particular slasher film is exceptionally bad in that the actions of every victim are so utterly stupid that suspension of disbelief is quickly overtaken by the dire need to repress the urge to violently shove one's foot through the television and then stomp it to tiny pieces. Do yourself a favor; scrape the back of your neck with a cheese grater instead of watching this rubbish, in the end, the effect is the same. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This was a pretty good modern day horror film. Not real dramatic or a bunch of unnecessary extras. The "slasher" he was really into his role and fit perfectly. If he knocked at my door I wouldn't open it! :-) Good movie...check it out! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
