Mainstream movie goers may find the pace slow due to the lack of plot. However, if you are prepared and know what you are getting into, the expereince can be quite enjoyable. Basically, the movie is about two people who meet each other while struggling with issues in their lives. The key is not the destination, waiting to see how the movie ends, but how they get there, showing their interactions and the music that moves it along. My favorite song in the movie "Falling Slowly", also initiates the best scene in the movie. In a time of abundant remakes and unoriginal stories, it is refreshing to see something simple and different. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Not for everyone granted, but I loved it so much I watched it twice. I would compare it to a music video turned movie. The soundtrack is also phenomenal. Read More I rented this movie wanting a likeable character with a story to tell. What Igot was a typical musician whose love of his own music is literally shoved down the viewers throat. I actually liked some of the songs, but I did not need to hear the entire song in real time. The film's set is interior and exterior. I found it rather comical that a guy could scream his song inside a store and not even get a reaction from nearby onlookers . Stay clear unless your into stroking this guys ego.......
