This movie is a very true depiction of what it is like to have a loved one be terminally ill. If you have ever been through the dying process with a relative or friend, you will recognize the phases and the roles people play. It can be depressing, but try to look past the fact that death is iminent, but how people come together and resolve conflicts and learn once again how precious life is.

This movie tells the story of the death of the matriarch of a family. Anyone who has loss a loved one surely can relate to this, but why would anyone want to watch another person's graphic ordeal with death that taught us no new lessons. Anyone, and I mean anyone, could have told this story. This movie was the worst.

This is a very realistic portrayal of a family's ordeal in dealing with a dying parent. I would not recommend this movie to anyone who has personally gone through a similar situation, as I can only imagine the emotions would be too raw. But that just shows you how good this movie is. Sally Fields did a tremendous job as the dying matriarch and the other characters were great as well.

I found this film too depressing for my taste! I do not reccommend anyone that has recently lost a loved one to watch this movie . At least not for awhile. It will only bring back the heartache.

Very sad. If I had read the reviews before I ordered I would not have ordered this movie. Dying is a very personal time at the end of your tlife. It should be shared with only the immediate family. I don't think any one in this stage of dying wants an audience. The acting was very good, and of course Sally Fields was excellent as always. Pauline H.
