Read More Bottom line: This movie was a good movie (even on it's own), but it just wasn't as great as the first. What made the first great was the characters and mystery and history behind the clues. They brought back all the characters (and added some new ones), but you don't get any strong feelings for any of them. Even the "bad guy" played by Ed Harris isn't all that bad. Ben's sidekick isn't all that funny (like in the first). The mystery and history behind the clues are harder to find. There is some pretty good suspense and action however. This may sound like a negative review, but that's just because I hold the first one in such high regard. Read More I found this movie to be as good if not better than the first one. Like the first one, it has a complex series of new plots to hold ones interest with lots of action and energy, as well as, some historic education. I particularly liked the interaction with Nicolas Cage and the nine year old boy (Conspiracy Kid) on the White House lawn scene. That kid was really great? The way Cage and the boy went at it was really passionate. The two sparring with such quick and complex dialogue showed what 2 good actors can really do. I love it and would only change one thing. at the end they should say "So, will you marry me". It is extremely funny and I must say Riley Poole is just as hilarious as the first movie. It isn't a complete wright up of the first movie but their are a few jokes from the first one. A great and exiting movie for the whole family definitely a worthwhile film. Read More Another great Nicholas Cage movie, was not disappointed in the movie but that hair of his, grow the sideburns, cut the length and get a better rug! Loved all the clues and how they followed up on them. Kind of wish The President was helping him, that would have added to the excitement. It does leave you again that another movie is in the works and this time maybe with the help of The President, since it was he that gave Gates the next thing to look for or so the movie implied.
