I guess instead of digging the dirt in the US soil looking out for treasures, this time they should have explored other lands.. machu pichu, egypt, babylon.. etc.

Read More i'm still a fan of the first movie so i was let down with the overall movie. it's an enjoyable movie but has so many rushed sequences and there is absolutely no tension even in the end. it was just so forced i thought and the climax with the bad guy in the end was just horrible. think the mummy returns without the annoying kid and you have a really good idea of what this movie is like. I just think this is one of the best movies I have seen. Yes it is a modern Indiana Jones type of movie but everything was awesome. Even the ending made it look like there would be a 3. National Treasure 2 is just completely absurd. Breaking into the White House to see a desk? Kidnapping the President of the United States to see a book? The "balancing platform" scene is when I shouted "Oh come on!" and just shut the movie off. I didn't need or have a desire to see the end.

I felt there was a lot less thought put into this movie than the first one. I hope that they can redeem themselves with a new story and maybe a third movie. There wasn't enough a challenge, everyone seemed to just fall in there laps. I was hoping for a little more punch in a story. Its probably good enough that they will make a, "#3".
