Read More Nothing happens in this movie... there's got to be 30-45 minutes of slow motion walking/skating/sitting... literally. I sat here expecting some plot, some murder mystery, some skate action but there's nothing there. If you want to watch a skater that can't skate THINK about a mistake he made for an hour, then check it out.... remember, when he's not thinking... these geniuses decided to film the kid taking 5 minute walks down the school hall, by the beach, up the street, write in a journal, take a shower, read a newspaper... AHHHHHHHH, I am not kidding here... anybody who gave this over 2 stars was seriously high on crack. I don't know this director guy but this thing was like watching some kid's film class project with his friends reading their lines and no money to film anything outside of his mom's yard. I truly do not know how it managed to get almost a 5 star rating! Were they really watching the same movie I was? First of all, too much film & time was wasted just looking at the main character - in the shower, just sitting, him staring in space, etc...You get the idea? I understand how he was carrying this 'burden' around with him, but I think the story was just too lame to warrant a full-length movie! Not enough action to keep my interest~ I will NOT watch this again - nor would I suggest it for ANY reason - other than a possible sedative - if you're having trouble sleeping..... There had to be about 25 minutes of plot and the rest was all pointless filler. Endless slow motion shots that showed nothing and had no purpose. The acting was like a junior high play, literally like they were reading it from the script. And the sex scene between the kids left my husband asking if the director was some kind of pervert.

The rest were one or two stars. This was a waste of time-- dumb, dumb, and dumber. It might be OK for teenaged skateboarders, but even they could find more action on any street in any large city.
