Next to The Wrath of Khan, this is the best. Great storyline, old and new series tie ins, lots of action, dialog and classic Star Trek moments. A must see!

I put this even above Wrath of Khan. This is how a send-off film should be made. It includes lots of character moments for the whole crew, pays homage to the elements that made the OS crew such a success, and even pokes a little fun at itself. And it manages to entertain without killing or turning evil any beloved characters.

My favorite feature on this DVD is the text commentary. It provides fun and interesting facts (as subtitles) as you watch the movie. Like pop-up video. Make sure you check it out.

The more times I watch this movie, the more I like it. More intelligent and less sappy than ST II or IV (which were also good), ST VI is a commentary on the fall of the Soviet Union, the end of the cold war, and what is needed to build real peace. It also retains the wry sense of humor that ST IV pulled off so well.

If you watched the other ST movies, and even sat through ST5, then this is a nice surprise after the previous movie. It doesn't suck. No new surpises here: fighting Klingons, secret weapons, Capt. Kirk kicking butt. The final climax is pretty lame, but hey... the universe is saved... again!

One thing I liked about this Star Trek is the world didn’t half to be ending for there to be conflict. I enjoyed seeing the different cultures of the other races, I’m sure this would’ve been considered a big budget movie for it’s time; even though we’ve come a ways since then. Although the actors had played these characters for a couple decades, they were still youthful enough to pull it off. This movie was more like an elaborate extended episode, rather then a movie, for that reason I liked it more then the others. I thought it was a good way to end the series of movies, and put the actors who played the ones we’ve come to know and love to rest.

I enjoy the original Star Trek series, and this movie sticks pretty close to what has been done before. Not a bad movie, but as far as Star Trek goes, it doesn't cover any new ground.
