Unfortunately this particular movie is not his A game. All of the characters feel like they needed a little more work. No one would mistake a WIll Ferrell movies as an intellectual endeavor and I do not expect such I do expect a movie that does not just go through the motions. Once the movie started the nasty words started and ... Read More My sons ages 12 and 8 wanted to see this movie and it was all I heard about since it came out. So I gave in and got the movie for them to watch. Once the movie started the nasty words started and then it continued. I was ashamed of some of the language that was used. I took the movie out and forbid them to continue watching it. If this movie was meant to be viewed by teens then better language should have been used. Ripe for comedy. Everything seems set in this movie for a fun, Ferrell-tastic romp. Instead, it's s$#t. Terrible, terrible garbage on-screen. Woody Harrelson is completely under-utilized (see Kingpin? The guy can be hilarious!). Many of the jokes are just gimmicks. This movie didn't need to be rated R, but I guess they just wanted to swear and have unnecessary T&A in several scenes. Ugh. I guess Will realized how much funnier John C Reilly was in Walk Hard and thought he had to compensate for sheer numbers of bad movies vs. a few really good ones.
