It was obvious that it didn't want to be the regular "run-of-the-mill" gay film. Unfortunately, the acting was subpar in some cases and the plot twists were extremely obvious. This movie was cute and worth the wait (DVDs by mail) since the first one didn't work. It was a quirky love story and that was refreshing. The plot is good, the acting better, I give it an 8. This is just a sweet, well-acted, feel-good story. My main issue (not a ... Read More Quite good for a low-budget movie. Yes, the plot was predictable, but aren't the plots of romantic comedies supposed to be? This is just a sweet, well-acted, feel-good story. My main issue (not a big one) was that Windham Beacham seemed a lot more handsome than Matthew Montgomery (the two main actors). The latter had a 3-day beard going on the whole movie. I felt that Adam, the conservative character played by Beacham, would have gone for a more clean-cut guy, especially since with his looks he could probably choose from a large selection. I wish they had picked a more handsome man to play Montgomery's character (or at least have spiffed Montgomery up a bit). I would have liked this movie a lot more, for example, if the actor playing the room-mate, Jeremy Lucas, had been cast in Montgomery's role. The movie pretty much met or maybe a bit exceeded my expectations, overall, though. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

A very nice cast, although under utilize. I thought they should have gone with the best friend and roommate is his secret lover played brilliantly by Jeremy Lucas was the route to go here.
