I think this film is a labor of love/belief/courage for its ensemble cast. I am actually concerned for John Cusack (one of my favorite actors) that he may have crossed the line between satire and ridicule which could put him on a Nixon-era type enemies list.
And I have the same concern for young Hillary Duff. In this film she at last proves she is an actress with a spectrum of character. And her musical performances in the film (compare her film version of "Blow You Up'" to the version played over the credits) show she has the security of ego to laugh at her own persona. YONIKA RULES!
War, Inc. is entertaining, provocative and corageous. A true four-star film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More It was my fear seeing that HIllary Duff was in this movie that it would completely ruined...but to a very great surprise it is not the truth. If you enjoy John Cusacks dry sense of humor and great sarcasm then you will love this movie! My favorite part is that it sure does make you think about the impact that the United States has had on so many different nations. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This movie was one of those. There seemed to be an attempt to merge a "comedy" into an anti-Iraq war, anti-Haliburton message. Being familiar with some of the actor's politics, I wondered if this is what Cusack thought really was going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. In all fairness, I did not watch the entire movie - as stated earlier - but this was God-awful. I just couldn't. There was a scene in which John Cusack puked into Marissa Tomei's jacket. If I had Marissa Tomei's jacket while watching this, I would have done the same. So much for selecting a movie because of the actors... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Good luck to those who can get through it and enjoy the limited points of interest. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Do not be fooled by the wonderful cast. I thought "Even if the writing/producing/directing is bad, the cast will make up for it." Wrong. I watched the whole thing. It's not funny, ironic, tongue-in-cheek, sardonic, nor witty. It's not in the same league as Brazil. It has nothing to do with Grosse Pointe Blank (brilliant! btw). It's terrible. It made my stomach hurt. The only ppl who could enjoy it are left-wing, liberal nut-jobs that make Al Franken look conservative. And I'm a liberal. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Marissa is always worth a watch and the Duff really saves what would otherwise suck. She rocks Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Well written, with twists and turns that ride easily with the plot line. Lead actor, and producer Cusak shows nuance in what could have easily been an overplayed role. Very nice parts by supporting cast, including Dan Akroyd, and (sir) Ben Kingsley
I hope this review doesn't get me killed by Tamberlane... Lord knows they are capable of it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More If you get black humor and have been distressed with the way our country has been going the last 8 yrs., you will love this movie. I don't buy many DVDs, but I'm going to have to get this one, it's a classic. Think 2008 version of Dr. Strangelove. There's so much happening you can't get it all the first time, but it is wickedly hilarious. Highly recommended for particular audiences. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
