Read MoreThousands of movies have been made about political situations. Many are good (Paths of Glory) and many are bad. This one is terrible. It is just way too over the top to get the message across in any meaningful way. I had no feeling for any of the characters. Cusack is an assassin who suddenly gets morals (why?) and saves the girl instead of carrying out his assignment. Duff plays screwed up Lolita pop singer who drops live scorpions down her pants. Tomei, looking drap and old doesn't even act like a serious journalist or a possible love interest and I almost wish she was killed off. The rest of the cast just shout at the camera. The ending was a typical cop-out. I can not believe that I am writing this but ... the Chevy Chase picture, Deal Of the Century, was a masterpiece in comparison to this mess. Read MoreI loved Grosse Pointe Blank and this movie reminded me of it a bit. It's funny, irreverent, scathing and revealing. Cusack was very open about his disdain for the Bush Administration and their "fake war" and he wrote a movie about it! Even though I really like Marissa and John I thought this movie sucked. I turned it off in the middle and finished it later and I'm not sure why I even bothered to turn it back on. Don't bother. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
