I have always loved this movie. I am admittedly a bit biased towards it. My husband was sponsered by Bear Surfboards in the 1970's and was Gary Busey's stunt double (or surf double) for the "BIG WEDNESDAY" monster waves. Gary (and the others) did all their own surfing on the "normal" waves and were quite good. Enjoy! Close this Review
How anyone can watch this and not like it, I don't know. A movie about life, growing up and friendship. First saw it back in the 70s and bought it as an adult 20 years later. A must see.

this is a true time capsule and if you weren't there it might seem more fictional than it really is. memories of a simpler time.
i toss out lines from this movie all the time in my day to day dealings. "and turn off that crappy music" "hey you guys...split!" andf charlene tilton lobs out a "bitchin"...sweet. Close this Review
