Probably one of the dumbest movies I have seen. Meg Ryan was totally unbelieveable in her roll. Sad, because this could have been a lot better.

I suspected within the first 10 minutes that this movie was going to be awful! Like the other reviewers, I thought Meg Ryan's lips were a huge distraction and she seemed to be intoxicated throughout the part that I could stand to watch. I was hanging on because I did like Hank's character but not enough. Should have asked for free replacement when returning to the store.

If you are looking for a Meg Ryan film, this is not for you. Her acting was poor. They actually cut her off early in some scenes. I think she was drunk through the entire film. The only time she showed some presence was when she was in the fat suit. The young couple in the film were worth watching. Colin Hanks carried the film. Antonio Banderas looked unhappy. Meg does look good for her age, but her brain is gone.

We found this movie to be relaxing, funny, and entertaining. Meg Ryan did an outstanding job of playing a middle-aged woman going through adolescence later in life. Colin Hanks is great as her son who grew up too soon and hasn't done adolescence yet. It is a light-hearted comedy. If you expect this; you will probably be delighted! If you are looking for serious literature, you will be disappointed.
