Read More I went to an advanced screening, thinking that this might be a silly movie from the previews, I was pleasantly surprised. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler showed they really could act other than the Saturday Night Live skits as the movie had drama and romance as well as comedy. Plus you will see some other familiar faces, too! I would recommend it for a fun night out! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Let me cut to the chase: I love Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I like the idea for the plot, I buy all the actors in their roles, and I even like how the movie progresses and ends. The laughs in the movie are great -- Amy made me guffaw once or twice. However, the laughs aren't frequent enough. I think this movie tries to hard to straddle the heart-warming and comedy genres. Don't get me wrong, it is a cute, moving story with laughs, but it didn't make me laugh as much as I was hoping. Still worth a watch, though. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I have to admit, I was disappointed in this movie. Don't get me wrong, there were some moments of comedic brilliance, but overall, it just wasn't that funny. And, I didn't really like the "twist." This was a bad movie elevated to okay status by those occasional glimmers of hilarity. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Though that was what her character was supposed to be, I was expecting a bit more from her. All the laughs in this movie were in the previews. The funniest part was probably where Amy Poehler was in the sink and said, "There's something wrong with your toilet." In the preview. Or maybe the door man arguing with Tina Fey about how Amy Poehler was her "baby mama." The door man helped the movie out quite a bit. Steve Martin was someone I wasn't expecting to see in the movie, and he creeped me out. I've always seen Steve Martin as the caring yet funny father figure in movies, and he was a complete skeez in this. Weird. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Great, another movie that presents"Daddy" as very optional in the life of a child. Yeah, a self-absorbed "successful" woman executive wanting a child but not a husband to help her raise it. Whether this movie is funny or sincere it is heading in the wrong direction by automatically assuming that this is a viable scenario.
Didn't these idiot film makers, writers and actors have fathers themselves? If so, did they see them as optional in their lives?
Liberal drivel...disappointing. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
