Kevin Kline and the actor that played Stingo did a fair job but she carried this movie. My one issue was the sound quality of the commentary. It was horrid! The movie was louder than the commentator. My wife and I first saw ths movie when it was released in 1982. If you are into enjoying movies because you enjoy ultra fine acting you will love this film. Others will find it slow and a bit boring. I guess, because of our age, and a true appreciation of the horrors that many people went through in World War II, we were more emotionally impacted by the premise of the movie. It's very long, but after viewing the film in its entirety, I do think that it was worth the wait. Watch this film AT LEAST for Streep's performance.
