Read More I consider myself a lover of all things romantic & am deeply moved by most romance movies. With "Somewhere In Time", I have never yet experienced a more deeply affecting film, when it comes to falling or being in love.
This, to me, is the ultimate sacrifice by one man for his soulmate: he will subjugate his very existence to be only with her.
Told from a male point of view, it is no wonder that more than 50% of the fans of this movie are men.

Since then I've thought about this movie atleast once a day. From '86 ... Read More The first time I watch Somewhere in Time was in 1984. I was eight years old. Although I was very young it took my breath away. Since then I've thought about this movie atleast once a day. From '86 until now I have watched a fair share of romantic movies. Some of them have come close but none have had the same effect. If you enjoy these types of movies this one will be on your top ten. The late great Christopher Reeves is wonderful. I am a normal person and you will hate this movie. I think Reeve, Seymour and Plummer are all great actors and do a good job in this movie, but the so-called story line is just awful. Remember Space Theatre 3000? This movie will be on Space Theatre 3010. This is not a sci-fi flick. My wife and I spent the evening making fun of it. She likes romance; I like sci-fi; so I thought this would be a great movie for us. Wrong. The only redeeming quality of this movie is that it raises your self-esteem.
