Gene Kelly the great song and dance man, Donald O'Connor, and Debbie Reynolds. The best numbers were of course "Singing in the rain", by Gene Kelly, and Donald O'Connor's "Make them laugh". These were 2 classic moments in movie history. Don't sell Ms Reynolds short, she kept up with these 2 professional and outstand hoofers. She held her own against 2 giants in the industry. Normally I really hate musicals where people suddenly burst into elaborate song and dance routines. It seems so contrived and ridiculous, it just pulls you back out of the film. But I couldn't help but like this movie. The characters are so much fun, all of the dance numbers are first rate. I would recomend this to anyone for good light-hearted entertainment, even if you're not a musical fan! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
