None of the characters were very interesting to me. I thought that maybe by the end of the movie I would be rooting for Quaid and Parker's characters to get together, but neither of them were very likable at all. The trailer made it seem like there would be a few more laughs in it. Overall, I was disappointed. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

That did not happen. Ellen Page and Thomas Haden Church were the only saving grace for this movie. I would skip this one and maybe watch when it runs on cable. Read More I had high hopes for this movie even though it got mixed reviews but in watching it I realized that I hated almost every character. The daughter was truly annoying and offensive and I couldn't wrap my brain around her actions. The father was embarrassingly one sided and showed such tiny growth through the movie that within the first hour I felt like I had been watching this movie for days. Thomas Hayden Church was the only really interesting piece of the movie. I would never watch it again. You would think that "smart people" could create a smart story line. Ellen Page was the only actor trying to float this vial piece of snake dung. She's sharp, witty and can slice paper thin cheese with that double edge sword of a tongue. Other than that, Quaid (one of my favorite actors) was dead in this one, SJP spun her usual illkish ooooz (once a square peg, always a square peg) and the lazy brother (don't even care what his name is really) should retire and find that cool Walmart greeters job handing out carts! Take this one out of your Q and move on. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Previews looked fantastic! It was slow at first, but I kept watching, waiting for it to kick in....NOT. It ended less than 90 minutes later when it could have finally got good maybe in the last 30 min if it would have gone to 2 hours. The best part was the pictures that were included as the credits rolled. How disappointing. Don't waste your 83 minutes on this one. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
