Smart People was dull, SJP and Quaid completely lacked chemistry, and the story fumbled and bumbled about. The first 15 minutes were enjoyable, so I gave the film 1.5 stars, but the instant SJP entered the film, it took a nose dive. Don't waste your time. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This movie had potential, but it was trying to hard. No edge, blah soundtrack and only believable character was Thomas Hayden Church. Rent "Wonder Boys" to see what this movie wanted to be. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Laconic, but solid cast, particularly Ellen Page. Characters as gloomy as the settings, but perhaps what Murro intended. More weary psychological study than entertainment. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
