I really did not like this movie! Enough to take the time to tell everyone. it was odd and kinda felt like Juno the prequel. Not one likeable character. So slow, I actually stopped the movie when it only had about 30 minutes left so that I could go outside and do some chores. I did finish watching it, but I do not know why. Really hated it.

With a cast that includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Quaid, and Ellen Page, there is a preconceived idea of what this movie will be about and how it will entertain the movie viewer. Forget that immediately....this movie is much deeper and darker than one might expect. Not only in terms of the characters and their personal eccentricities, but the setting is not "college campus lite". This film is more serious and bittersweet with a screenplay that features intelligent, complicated characters. I really liked it and highly recommend this film as an intelligent antidote to most "serious" character studies.

To me this was a very good movie. Sarah Jessica Parker's acting was very good. She was the main reason I rented this movie. As for Dennis Quaid, he did well also. On most of the reviews people did not like the two of them together. I did. He is quite a bit older than her but I thought they clicked. I am a person that has an open mind when it cames to age. I'm not saying the other people has a closed mind when it comes to they're opinions. I'm just saying I thought they acted well together and I got it. Also Ellen Paige was good in this and Thomas Haden Church played his part to the T. To me the movie is worth renting.
