Might be the best I've seen this year. It was just a touch bit slow in the very beginning but kept you interested enough for a superb middle and end. So much for Sandler just doing the comedies, he was excellent in this film and Cheadle was a perfect match. Jada Pinkett-Smith didn't have a huge role but was great at the one she had. Ran the gamet of emotions from a little funny to very sad. Should make every family man think about what is truly important. It really was a great movie and I'm not one for the emotional touching movies. If you want to see a great movie, this is it. Very impressed! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More Adam Sandler definitely shines in this movie. You'll definitely feel how he's feeling - you'll cry and laugh with him; and for a moment, you might even go as crazy as he was as you begin to realize the depth of his misery, as though every part of his being is endlessly tortured by the dreadful tragedy of losing his entire family in a split second. You can't help but imagine yourself in his shoes, and start thinking of how you'd be like if it happens to you. Watch this and you won't regret it. All the other actors did great, too. Excellent! Beautiful movie about the effects of long lost friendship. Makes you want to reconnect with your old friends with whom you grew up with. Those with whom you shared a future and lost track as life took you in its own direction. Good story telling with some funny moments, too. Hey, it has Adam Sandler!
