This is by far the best movie Adam Sandler has ever made as an actor - not a comedian, but an actor. He has finally crossed the line into a different genre. So few comedians can pull this kind of acting off - Robin Williams, for one - even really great comedians have a really hard time when it comes to serious roles. But Adam Sandler really did an excellent job here. And Don Cheadle is terrific, as always. I didn't like Jada Pinkett, though - I just don't think she's a good actress, and her character was a little too... cranky (for lack of a better yet more offensive word - like B... itch). A really good movie - starts off a bit slow, but pays off well at the end. They handled the whole '9/11' issue well, too, not over the top or sappy. Highly recommend this movie. His delivery is similar to Dustin Hoffman and Al Pacino, and he makes the character come to life (or misery, as it is would be). The box image is misleading. While there are short comedic moments, this is a depressing tale about a very disturbed man who has lost everything. And Cheadle is his usual outstanding self. A surprisingly good drama. Truly entertaining and rewarding. Often movies that have depth are difficult and slow... this one was really fun and deep. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I could see this happening to someone, 9-11 was a very emotional time and know several people who will never ever be the same because of the events of that day. Very emotionally charged. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
